The Vermont Catamounts 6-6-2 (4-5-2 HEA) were unable to extend their longest unbeaten streak (3) of the season, as the UNH Wildcats extended theirs to six games. The Cats received goals from Jack Downing (New Canaan, Conn.) and senior Colin Vock (Detroit, Mich.) and had 2 assists from Justin Milo (Edina, Minn.). The Cats jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Downing, but the game was quickly tied up on a UNH goal by Greg Burke. The Wildcats went on to score 3 more unanswered goals to bring the score to 4-1. In the second period, Vock's goal brought the Cats closer at 4-2 but the Wildcats scored only 54 seconds later to bring the lead back to three at 5-2. Vermont never came closer ending their brief winning streak. The Catamounts host St. Lawrence next Saturday in a non-conference game.
