In the fading days of summer, it’s unlikely that anyone in Vermont wants to think about the winter that’s right around the bend.
Friends, do not despair. Sure, we got cheated out of a good part of the summer by Mother Nature and her seemingly endless showers. But we have much to look forward to this winter. At least the state’s 20 ski resorts would like to think so.
Changes are afoot at just about every ski area in Vermont. Buffeted by a longer than average ski season last year, plus epic dumps of pristine powder, the ski areas are in prime position to make some substantial changes to their mountains and their base facilities.
