Vermont Jumps to 17th in Latest USCHO.com/CBS College Sports Poll

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont men’s hockey team moved up to 17th in the latest USCHO.com/CBS College Sports Poll released on Tuesday. The Catamounts were ranked 20th last week. Vermont is also receiving votes in the latest USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll.
Vermont (1-0-0) defeated Rensselaer, 4-1, in the first-ever NCAA hockey game in Quebec City on Saturday. All proceeds from the contest went to cystic fibrosis.
No. 17 Vermont hosts No. 7 Miami this Friday (Oct. 17) and Saturday (Oct. 18) at Gutterson Fieldhouse. Both games are 7:05pm starts. On Friday fans will receive magnet schedules courtesy of Leonardo’s. Saturday is $1.00 hot dog night compliments of University Dining Sodexho.
