FINAL SCORE: George Mason 80, Vermont 79 (OT) BURLINGTON, Vt. – Darryl Monroe hit a pair of free throws with 0.7 seconds left in overtime to lift George Mason to an 80-79 victory over the University of Vermont men’s basketball team on Saturday afternoon. Junior Marqus Blakely (Metuchen, N.J.) led all scorers with 24 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Cats drop their regular season opener.
