UVM Athletics: Men's Basketball Tops Buffalo as Part of ESPNU BracketBusters on ESPN2 PDF Print E-mail
Written by VT Sports Network Article
Saturday, 21 February 2009

"BURLINGTON, Vt. – Senior Mike Trimboli (Norwalk, Conn.) scored a game-high 24 points to lead the University of Vermont men’s basketball team to a 78-70 victory over Buffalo as part of the ESPNU BracketBusters series on Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out Patrick Gym. The Cats have now won 13 of their last 14 overall as they improve to 22-7 on the season"

FINAL SCORE: Vermont 78, Buffalo 70

Vermont almost blew it but ultimately came up with a great win against a very solid Buffalo team.  In the final minutes of the game, Vermont lost MoJo and Trimboli to what appeared to be freak injuries.  Trimboli returned, but MoJo went to the locker room.  Hopefully he returns for Vermont's regular season finale at Maine next Sunday.  Go Cats.
