"We had one of the best classes to ever attend UVM in my opinion.
We all worked very hard and played the best we could every day.

The University of Vermont men’s basketball team (23-8) is returning to the postseason, as the Catamounts accepted a bid to the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) Sunday evening. The Cats will travel to play Wisconsin - Green Bay in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the Resch Center.

The UW-GB Phoenix were 22-10 on the year, including 13-6 in the Horizon Conference.

Seniors Mike Trimboli and Colin McIntosh will have at least one more game to avenge their first round loss to UAlbany in the America East Tournament last week.

All rounds of the 16-team CBI will be played at campus sites. The quarterfinals will be held Monday, March 23, while the semifinals are slated for Wednesday, March 25. The best-of-three championship series begins Monday, March 30 at the site of the higher remaining seed. The second game will be Wednesday, April 1 at the lower seed’s home court, while the final game (if necessary) is set for Friday, April 3 back at the top seed.
