BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sophomore Garvey Young (Washington, D.C.) and senior Maurice Joseph (Montreal, Quebec) led four Cats in double figures with 14 points each, as the Vermont men’s basketball team cruised to a 78-58 win over Boston University on Sunday afternoon in a game that was televised nationally on ESPNU. Vermont held the Terriers to only 14 first half points and led by as many as 32, as the Catamounts improve to 13-5 overall and 4-0 in America East play. Vermont has now won 11 of its last 12 games overall and sits alone in first place in the league standings as the only undefeated team remaining. The 14 first half points for BU were the fewest given up in a half by a Catamount squad since Vermont held Cornell to 14 in the first half of a 73-60 win on December 5, 2003.
