DURHAM, N.H. – Tyrone Conley and Alvin Abreu combined for 42 points to lead New Hampshire over the Vermont men’s basketball team, 75-56 on Wednesday night in America East action at Lundholm Gymnasium. The Wildcats shot 61 percent (11-for-18) from three to knock off the Catamounts for only the third time in the last 20 meetings between the two schools.
Senior Marqus Blakely (Metuchen, N.J.) led the Catamounts with 17 points and 11 rebounds for his third straight double-double. The loss is the third straight for Vermont, as it falls to 14-8 overall and 5-3 in league play.
