BURLINGTON, Vt. – Junior Evan Fjeld (Durham, N.C.) and senior Marqus Blakely (Metuchen, N.J.) combined for 44 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Vermont men’s basketball team to an 85-76 win over New Hampshire in overtime on Sunday afternoon in front of a sold-out crowd at Patrick Gym. The win is the fifth straight for the Cats, who improve to 19-8 overall and 10-3 in America East action. New Hampshire ended regulation on a 14-2 run to tie the score at 64-64 on a lay-up by Dane DiLiegro with 37 seconds remaining. The Cats had one final chance, but could not convert as the game went into overtime.
