BURLINGTON, Vt. – Junior Evan Fjeld (Durham, N.C.) led four Cats in double-figures with 17 points, while senior Nick Vier (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) added four three-pointers to pace the Vermont men’s basketball team to a 77-67 victory over Fairfield on Saturday afternoon as part of the ESPN BracketBusters series. The win is the seventh straight for the Cats, who improve to 21-8 overall. Vier, along with classmates Marqus Blakely (Metuchen, N.J.) and Maurice Joseph (Montreal, Quebec) each added 14 points apiece for the Catamounts, who shot 48.1 percent from the floor for the game.
