BUFFALO, NY - The rematch goes to Syracuse. Vermont couldn't muster the same magic it showed in 2005 when the Catamounts upset the Orange in the first round of the NCAA tournament.  The 2010 edition goes to Syracuse 79-56.

The America East Champion Catamounts were looking to become the first 16-seed to beat a #1.  Vermont showed glimpes of their high flying selves. Marqus Blakely rocked the rim a multitude of times, wowing the sellout crowd at the HSBC Center. The senior scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Evan Fjeld had 13 points, Maurice Joseph scored 7 in his match-up with brother Kris. The Syracuse sophomore scored 8 points.
