Wakefield, Mass. – Vermont forward Wahsontiio Stacey has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week. The Hockey East Association made the announcement today. Stacey scored a goal and had two assists in the Catamount's 6-4 loss to former ECAC rival St. Lawrence at Appleton Arena Saturday.
Stacey has now had a goal and an assist (2g, 4a) in each of the last two outings for Vermont. He leads the team in points with 13 (8g, 5a) on the year and leads all active Catamounts with 60 career points (30g, 20a). Stacey is also tied for 21st in the country in power play goals with four in 14 games played (.29 per-game).
