Head coach John Becker made the announcement today.
"I am really excited about the newcomers that we are bringing in,” said Becker. “I think that they will not only add depth to the experience we have coming back, but that the freshmen can contribute right away as we look to defend our America East Championship next season."
Harold, a 6-7 forward, transfers to Vermont after playing his first two seasons at Pepperdine. As a sophomore he played in 27 games and made 11 starts, while averaging 3.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. A 2010 graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon, he was named All-New England Prep School Athletic Conference Second Team as a senior after averaging 16 points per game.
Pierson, a 6-10 forward, comes to Burlington after playing his first two seasons at Northeastern. As a freshman at NU he appeared in 30 of 31 games, making 29 starts and was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team after averaging 7.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. As a sophomore he played in 27 games and made five starts.
Both Harold and Pierson will have to sit out the 2012-13 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Davine is a 6-3 guard who played for one season at Vermont Academy. A Rutland native, he played three sports for the Red Raiders and was named to Vermont's 'Dream Dozen' for hoops in both 2008 and 2009. Davine was a First Team All-MVL selection three times and named all-state as a senior.
Kilpatrick, a 6-5 guard/forward, played high school at Malvern Prep where he scored 1,293 points. He was named the Inter-Ac MVP in each of his last two seasons and as a senior Kilpatrick was named First Team All City Daily News, Associated Press AAA All-State and all city, as well as MVP by the Daily Local News after averaging 17 points, six rebounds and three assists per game.
A 6-9 forward, O'Day comes to Vermont after playing at Northfield Mount Hermon last year. He was named to the NEPSAC AAA All-Conference First Team and runner up for the league's player of the year during his final season. O'Day led NMH to a NEPSAC AAA New England Championship after averaging 14 points and nine rebounds per game.
