It has been confirmed. The University of Vermont men's basketball team will play a game against the two-time defending National Champion University of Florida Gators in Tampa.
According to the official Florida schedule which was released yesterday, a Florida-Vermont game will occur on Nov. 30 in Tampa.
This will be the second consecutive season the Gators have played a game at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. Last season they played Florida A&M in December and drew a crowd of 15,344.
Vermont went 25-8 last season, losing to Kansas State in the first round of the NIT. Florida went 35-5 and beat Ohio State 84-75 to win the NCAA Tournament Championship for the second straight season. The Gators lost their top three players from last season's team in the first 10 picks of this years NBA draft.
