BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont athletic department hosted a media day for the men’s and women’s basketball programs on Wednesday morning. Head coaches Mike Lonergan and Sharon Dawley were available and joined by respective team co-captains Sara Fenton (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Mike Trimboli (Norwalk, Conn.). The men’s basketball team will host Concordia at 7:00pm at Patrick Gymnasium on Wednesday (Oct. 31) in the first of two preseason contests for the Catamounts. UVM will also play neighboring Saint Michael’s College on Saturday (Nov. 3) at 3:30pm. Vermont opens the 2007-08 regular season on Friday, November 9 at George Mason. The game begins at 7:00pm and can be seen on MASN and is one of 11 times the Catamounts will be featured on the television this season.

All Vermont men’s basketball games can be heard on WEAV-960 AM or WXZO-96.7 FM this season. Games will also be broadcast over the Internet on SportsJuice.com. All home games can also be seen live via the Internet on B2 Networks for a price of $6.00 per game or fans can buy a season pass for $50. Click here for more information.

The women’s basketball team will play Bishop’s in the second half of a basketball doubleheader on November 3 at 7:00pm. The Catamounts begin the regular season on the road at UMass on Friday, November 9 at 7:00pm.
